little did they know, i've been watching terrain building videos for years. i binged kamui cosplay's videos for hours. i've watched videos with less than 1000 views. i've more than a few dozen search engine entries on glue.

i sufficiently prepare my entry into a hobby more than anyone realizes lol

i started showing people outside of my inner circles that i build D&D terrain, using foam and cardboard.

i instantly got interactions "did you try ALUMINUM FOIL on FOAM" before i even explained what i was doing -- i was using EVA foam, not XPS foam, the preferred foam of choice for crafters.

when i do something that is outside of the most common box of advice, there's a higher chance than the average person that it's intentional lol. i stewed a whole picanha and i still get "it's best when seared like a steak!"

yes, because i know that. but i didn't want picanha steaks.

i know it always comes from a good place when i share something i'm doing hobby-wise and folks want to chime in with how *they* do it or *who* to watch, enthusiastically

but i don't know how to tell folks that i watch youtube every single day
