A secondhand book called “heraldry for the designer” by William Metzig. The cover displays an illustrated knight and his steed who are adorned with colourful (red, blue and gold) heraldic markings.

Found this yesterday in Any Amount of Books on Charing Cross Road. Considering I’ve recently started illustrating some heraldic animals, it feels serendipitous. A very interesting book.
