I read an article the other day comparing it to the hype about linux and everyone moving to open source back in the day, but only people with a certain relationship to tech actually adopted it. Seems accurate.

Thanks, it’s exciting :) It was a pretty simple project and it still took a lot of back and forth and effort to get it dialed in. Definitely no one-shot prompt magic, but it’s pretty amazing what AI is able to do if you work methodically. Learned the importance of modularization.

Just refactored Bloompy’s data layer to a hybrid Local-First model.

We use Firestore for global state streaks/XP but keep all PII (task titles) on-device using AsyncStorage. By mapping persistent UUIDs in the cloud to local strings, we get the best of both worlds: Your garden is your own business.

Privacy in tech is becoming more important than ever. We don’t want apps that harvest our data and spy on us.

Yeah, I’ve been messing with LLMs for a while but just started using them for build projects. As I learn and advance I’m sure I’ll start looking at upgrading, but I want to get the hang of it first :)
