Yep, that's my interpretation as well

"As an exception, it is possible to solder rails of different grades of steel, keeping in mind that in order to make said solder you must use the charge corresponding to the **lesser** grade steel between both rails, following UNE-EN 13674-1"

AeromΓ©xico has a wholly-owned regional (which flies E190s). Canada has AC Jazz and Rouge, but they have scope clauses as well (Rouge has aircraft and route restrictions)

The bug is that they're E175s and CRJ900s instead of E190s and A220s, because of US/CA scope clauses (restricting the size and capacity of aircraft flown by the regional airliners).

Systematically in the US we see outcomes where a bad status quo is selected over an imperfect improvement because the failures of a bad status quo cannot be laid at the feet of any specific person.

Branford NIMBYs are B tier only because CT is an S-tier state. Obviously they aren't building any housing (why do you think all your tradesmen are commuting from Bloomfield?), but they aren't also disrupting a major infrastructure project. They should consider putting chicanes up on I-95.

It's so transparent when guys like this are working on a map that only shows the US (and then Canada stuff gets filled in later), because how is a connection to Europe higher-priority than a connection between Buffalo and Toronto?

It remains so funny to me how many people who claim to be socialists thought the Biden Administration was a disaster for the working class when the objective truth is it was a disaster for the bosses.

It’s odd no one in ICE busts wears raid jacket. I reckon they are all federal agents (1811 criminal investigator is job category) but only a minority are ICE agents. WH has seconded 1811s from all over govt to ICE but parent agencies don’t want their names or agents’ faces on TV.

From the CATO institute: "ICE Agents Routinely Mask Up When Seizing Peopleβ€”That’s Wrong" by Walter Olson

I had missed the story from two weeks ago about what happened after (apparent) agents of the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), one wearing a balaclava to hide his face, seized two men at the Charlottesville, VA, courthouse. The sequel, as reported by the local paper, the Daily Progress, was that an *unnamed* (!) ICE spokesperson threatened to prosecute two persons at the scene who challenged the action and asked the agents to identify themselves or show a warrant. The headline read: β€œICE promises bystanders who challenged Charlottesville raid will be prosecuted.”

Another @carlosmucha.bsky.social banger theory on Twitter/X:
The White House has the authority to force any federal agency to detail their 1811s (Special Agents) to ICE.
Agencies don't want their agents to be seen participating, so no jackets and yes face coverings.
