When he starts zooming around, it looks like he’s just having fun. Actually he is still on task, as evidenced by the extremely sharp 180 turn he performs as he runs straight through a scent cloud.

I enjoy watching and analysing his searches.

Concentrated rate of sniffs with slow movement = he’s on something.

When he is closer to the camera, it looks like he’s close to finding the target. However he was actually picking up the residual odour from a disc he’d already found earlier.

Pollox stands in deep snow in the dark, holding a bright green ring toy in his mouth while attending to some personal business. The streetlights cast a golden glow on the snow-covered landscape.
