Controlled opposition. The Dems are collaborators. Reject authoritarianism, embrace community, embrace workers, and the grass roots we all come from.

Non for profits occasionally do good work, but are no replacement for grass roots community action. Non for profits or professional activism are still burdened by a need to pander to the state whereas communities can address problems faster, better and more efficiently. Blair Mountain wasn’t legal.

If I ever use words you don’t understand, feel free to ask me what it means in the context provided. I won’t tell you to “look it up” or act smug. People talk different. Language is always changing. Any change needs to be accessible.

You don’t have the fortune of picking and choosing your community. You’re a human around a bunch of other humans. You need to find a way to make that work. Community building is challenging but necessary. Throwing people away mirrors the very systems you try to oppose, and feeds those system.

Common folks tend to share a group of needs. Housing, food, safety, community, utilities, medicine. Providing these things will generally turn hearts and minds. Removing
struggle/ providing support will breed comrades faster than manifestos or book clubs or diversity courses. Inclusivity is key.

Identity Politics has the best applications in theory, IMO. It is deeply valuable when identifying biases, prejudices, and influences within things that may inform or inspire, but actions favor the pragmatic. I’ve unionized alongside people who used slurs and microagressions. Actions speak louder.

Avoid condemnation when possible. Hold people accountable to their beliefs in scale with the power they hold over others. In an era of disinformation, propaganda, and social engineering, try not to be puritanical about values, but rather lead your community through example, guidance,and mutual aid.

Your right to organization may be compromised in the coming years, it is imperative that you exercise that right and encourage others to do the same. Don’t be discouraged by legality. The battle of Blair mountain wasn’t a sanctioned strike, but a community standing against tyranny.Make those friends

Laws generally don’t reflect clever fundraising, campaigns, and endorsements. They arise from disobedience on such scale that to stem them would be impossible and offered only by the powerful as an attempt to quell uprising. The bare minimum, no amount of propaganda should convince otherwise.

It is vital to reconnect with folk knowledge. Canning, land management, printing, carpentry, fabrication, defense, hunting, foraging, plumbing, lamp working thermal mass retention. Old school ideas with new school folk implementation and information. Black and Native practices especially.Pre-capital

It is vital to look to leaders of the past to understand how to combat the tyranny of the present. Those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Destruction has its place, but radical creation is powerful. Turn on lights without permit. Fix houses to standard without permission. Garden in plots of land that aren’t yours and feed people. Make them look like monsters for infringing on what you’ve created. You don’t need permission to be good.

It’s easy to be brainwashed against a label, an ideology, a symbol. Very few people will argue with food, solidarity, and protection. Lead with your actions first. Resist the urge for ego, or to define yourself other than humane. Feed, protect, restore utilities to the vulnerable.

Do not overextend yourself past your training and capacity. Get stronger. Grow your influence, provide your services. There are no useless people, we just live in a system that devalues us. Use what makes you shine to stand up for what’s right. Don’t forget to grow, dear comrades. You are worth it.

You may be in situations where you must choose between your safety and your ideals. Martyrs are not as useful as freedom fighters. You may be sad, looking for a way out, but it’s imperative you do not put yourself in that situation. The best Martyrs are those who’ve exhausted all other options.

Develop systems of interdependence more robust than mutual aids current standard. Do not supplement the system, endeavor to live outside of it completely. Butchers, farmers, blue collar workers, IT, chemists, tradesfolk, cooks. Lift the rocks off their back, give community purpose to the unemployed.

Canceled doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy it but it means you’re obligated to steal it. Music, art, literature and video games. The issue is stemming the flow of money. Get familiar with torrents and raspberry pi. Disposable computers are cool and fun. Linux can be nifty.

Put things in physical copies. Nothing incriminating, but your photos of family, loved ones, your art. Keep recordings on file, backup as many times as realistic. If you don’t own it, it can be taken. Hard copy is better than digital. Redundancy is a friend to record keeping.

I don’t believe in account deletion. I believe in a refocus of your attention and priorities. Don’t post anything real on a meta or musk platform but keep tuned in to what the masses are being fed. Don’t trust discord, they will sell you out too, but don’t abandon it. Start reconnecting in person.

Now is the time to be critical of media. Don’t believe the rhetoric or official story unless you see the effect. The TikTok ban was propaganda. The cigarette ban is propaganda. Even the ceasefire should be taken skeptically until everyone’s safe and rebuilding for awhile. They want your reaction.

Reject labels, talk about the issues at hand. Leftist, Anarchist, communist, libertarian, whatever. Talk about families, talk about safety, talk against authoritarianism and disenfranchisement. No one will be impressed by your label. People will be won through empathy and action.

A diversity of tactics is essential. There will always be people who will go farther than you’re comfortable going yourself and there are people who will condemn you for your brazen nature. Learn about flank movements. Radical actions help keep standard actions palatable in the public eye.

In uncertain times, get certain. Some bipoc are small, some fascists are large but Sam Colt made all folks equal. Defend yourself. Get medic trained. Hurting is good but healing is essential. Conduct classes, at your homes, apartments, in the woods.

If you feel unsafe owning a firearm, get good with slingshots, invest in a taser or better yet a taser gun. Get a crossbow. Arm yourself. If you’re a combat queer like me, now’s the time to take the tender under your wing and teach.
