Pale green dish of coated peanuts and glass of opaque yellow liquid, both standing on a mock granite surface.
I fear that I have become hooked on these non-alc premixed pina coladas, but there are worse things to be addicted to. Cheers! #ConfinedCocktails

A hand drawn map of part of Kirkwall in Orkney, with street names and other areas labelled
Our Archivists just came across a 1798 map of the centre of Kirkwall #Orkney, created for a legal dispute over some ground. It's very exciting because it's one of the earliest detailed maps of Kirkwall we've seen.

Digitization in countries beyond Europe and North America is often a fine balance between standards and realities on the ground.
Several institutions provide digitization guidelines (and grants) that have been developed for projects in such locations.

AI Preparedness Guidelines for Archivists β Archives & Records Association
Need to read this more carefully, but at first glance it appears thoughtful and helpful.
Certainly more helpful than, on the one hand, ill-informed boosterism from tech bros and, on the other, 'AI should never be used by archivists!' absolutism.
