The Vancouver budget will be devastating to services so many rely upon and to the hardworking employees delivering them, but here's one tiny sliver of good news: the scheme to spend millions to widen Beach Avenue and tear out the bike lane appears to have been dropped from the Capital Plan!

The Downtown BIA is quite supportive. Also, the Hastings Crossing BIA has been quite friendly in the past few years.
The others? So much concern about on-street parking, so little concern about how people actually get to their businesses.

I did reassure attendees that if they didn't want to ride with the threat of showers that it wasn't a big deal. So far today, we've had 7 people drop out. But 3 people signed up!
So, uh, we were sold out but now there's 4 tickets remaining if you'd like to join us tomorrow!
The latest forecast is now saying "Mainly cloudy, 20C".
Huzzah, the ride will be going ahead as planned.
The weather doesn't look super amazing right now for our Sunday ride to Steveston but also not rainy enough to postpone. A final call will be made tomorrow morning, but if you have a ticket and decide not to come, please cancel it.
