A bit off-brand for me, (not Black Sabbath for once) but September of My Years, Sinatra, with Gordon Jenkins and that FULL orchestra. But only if I'm in the very room, not the control booth. Can you imagine standing in front of that wall of talent as everyone one of them gives it their all?

The prose in So Tender a Killer sucks the breath out of you. Beautiful and bewildering, each line vibrating with peyote energy. Elegant trauma. Chanel and cocaine. Switchblades in utero. No Country for Old Men as conceived by Derek Jarman. True Crime on heroic doses of LSD. What a ride.
