Every once in a while, watering is required... It takes quite a bit of water because I suspect the trees take it all😅🤷‍♂️

I raked all the dead grass off and move the sprinkler every 40 minutes

I always put on podcasts to go to bed.... 25 minutes in, and wide awake now👀

Yes... The Ottawa River was surely glacial cut through granite and bed rock

And actually, you can get hints of what it was like after the glaciers when the water was way higher by looking at the map. My guess is the river split originally, and my whole area was under water

The pond I'm on is around 2000ft by 600ft, you can barely see it in this map, but there's a giant river and an actual lake nearby! The Bald Eagle and Osprey just visit here and there out of continence, but prefer the giant water (I think)
