The EHRC want to exclude women from femal single-sex spaces based on how "female" they look.

This is off the scale sexism and misogyny.

Millions of women will face harassment as result of this insanity.

The transphobe contingent heading the EHRC are trying to use the bully pulpit of every billionaire owned reactionary media apparatus available to them to pressure the government, right at the point where it looks like they're flinching based on the legal situation they're in.

It's just fascism.

I'm not exaggerating. It literally says trans people can be banned from all facilities entirely leaving them with nowhere to go at all. Since this covers public restrooms, workplaces, gyms, etc, this is effectively a full on ban on the participation of trans people in British society.

The UK is considering a policy that would effectively segregate trans people from society. It would bar trans people from "single sex spaces" even when they use the facility of their sex assigned at birth.

This is a full on policy of segregation without even the benefit of separate facilities.

Today, on Trans Day of Remembrance, we remember the trans people whose lives were taken too soon. It is a day of loss, but it is also a reminder that every trans+ life holds meaning, not only in grand moments but in everyday interactions.
