Grieving husband says "reckless" Texas abortion law led to pregnant wife's death
Between 2019 and 2022, the maternal mortality rate in Texas increased 56% after the state outlawed abortions.
Another tragic story out of Texas. Porsha Ngumezi died because from a miscarriage, due to Texas's draconian abortion ban that denied her care. GEPI was proud to provide the data on maternal mortality to CBS Evening News for this story.
