I feel like a big part of the problem is that being in a position of significant power both attracts certain kinds of people and enables/rewards/encourages/brings out those traits. Imagine if we could find ways to distribute power that discouraged corruption, instead of wishing for benevolent rulers

i’ve been on one social media platform or another since i was 13 so for two decades. they come and go according to the whims of shareholders, same as anything else. at this point im still at it because im an addict. but it is in your best interests to do everything you possibly can OFF SOCIAL MEDIA
