NEW: President Trump is asking the Supreme Court to consider birthright citizenship when all of the lower federal courts have unanimously ruled against him.
The 14th Amendment and 125 years of Supreme Court precedent are clear: If you're born on American soil, you are a citizen.

New Hampshire Republican lawmakers propose return of hard labor for people convicted of violent crimes
Hard labor could once again be a sentencing option for convicts in New Hampshire as lawmakers plan to debate an amendment later this week that could make serving time a lot tougher for certain inmates...
This proposal isnβt just outdated, cruel, and unnecessary β it is also completely out of touch. Hard labor devoids everyone of their basic dignity and human rights and we will be watching as this bill moves through the State House. https://bit.ly/3Lm491s

'It gives me hope': No Kings Day rally draws thousands to downtown Concord - Concord Monitor
Thousands of people attended the No Kings Day protest in Concord, waving signs and flags to protest the Trump administration.
Thousands of Granite Staters in Concord and all across New Hampshire came together Saturday in defense of our civil rights, liberties, and democracy.
Our fight is far from over but one thing is clear: the power of the people is stronger than the people in power. bit.ly/49dhyms

Today is World Against the Death Penalty Day and public support for the death penalty is falling and the current trend, of a 40 year low in new death sentences, is continuing as fewer juries are handing down death sentences and fewer prosecutors are seeking death.

In 2019, New Hampshire outlawed the death penalty because it was cruel, ineffective, and unpopular among Granite Staters.
So then why are NH lawmakers now trying to revive proposed death penalty bills for the 2026 legislative session?
