I like that he tried to copy her use of the tilde, instead of just using a hyphen like everyone else does when crediting a quote.
He wanted to use the smart squiggle too.
This is the shit. Nice job.

Does having to treat measles outbreaks not put more strain on the healthcare system than say... A vaccine?
Is there a way to mute shitty JPEGs with words on em?

23.03.2025 22:34 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0As much as I don't want to give it viewership, I often find that when people reflexively discredit "leftist media" (i.e. any reputable news source) showing them the wacko personalities they are supporting is a powerful tool.
Would you mind telling me which podcast had this pair on?
Amazing replies. Amazing work.

"Europe Plots to Stop Trump From Taking Greenland"
Holy hell.
Worth repeating:
The "cultural knowledge" that these institutions have is greater than the sum of the knowledge of participating individuals.
When you lose this kind of knowledge, there is no shortcut for getting it back. You have to go through the same trials that taught the lessons before.
You shouldn't eat cigarettes

Implying that if you write in claiming there is conspiracy, you are a champion of "truth". In reality, it just means you don't want equality.
Do some actual reporting.

20.01.2025 00:56 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So, entities that are able to make over 250k A YEAR from just the capital they hold would run away to the States for that incremental 16% savings?
It would hurt them that much? Low productivity couldn't be helped by giving money back to people that is frozen in billionaire/corporate accounts?
Now this is hard hitting journalism. Thank you.
12.01.2025 20:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I am totally on board with more research. It is always better to have better data!
I guess the trigger for my comment was more of a distaste for the boogeyman that "chemicals" is. But I might be projecting my feelings onto your words.
Communicating science that doesn't hit people's biases is hard.
While the idea of "forever chemicals on your wrist" does feel uncomfortable, is it actually any real cause for concern?
I may be missing something in this specific case, but it seems like there is an implicit communication of danger - that at this point is unfounded.
A long winded question:
EPA and NIH have recent studies around the chemical in question (PFHxA). EPA has no immediate concerns but wants more studies. NIH says there is enough evidence to say it is not carcinogenic, a selective reproductive or developmental toxicant, or an endocrine disruptor.
Truly hard hitting journalism. So brave.

Yeah, it's dystopian.
The article was paywalled so I only read the freely available section, but the topic is well tackled in this video:

Some parts of it feel extremely obvious. But I suppose things aren't always as they feel.

03.12.2024 04:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think Spotify is the ultimate example of this. People wanted a good way to play music. Spotify had that. Now they have podcasts, audiobooks, video snippets, and are planning on trying to compete with YouTube.
Every feature is just another thing to get in the way of listening to music.
