I haven’t been able to do this. I hate to say that I don’t think it’ll matter, and God won’t intervene because free will and all that. And I know praying for someone does as much for the pray-er as the pray-ee, but I’ve still not been able to do it.

When we Christians are more known for our support of presidents than we are for our support of the poor, the immigrant, the marginalized, and the oppressed, that is when we know we are following someone other than Jesus and we have a lot of repenting to do.

Grateful to Dr King for his tireless work for justice and faith-and-action alignment.

(As far as I’m concerned, this is the only important thing happening today. The rest is noise and lies and sadness.)

Awaiting evangelicals up in arms about this like they’d be if Biden or Obama had not placed their hand on the Bible. But there won’t be. There will be some excuse made for him as always. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to the hypocrisy of my faith tradition.
