These past few months, the quote from CS Lewis’ book, A Grief Observed, “I sat with my anger long enough until she told me her real name was grief” keeps going through my head.

Grief is not passive, giving up, or hopelessness. It’s the opposite of apathy and being numb. Allow yourself to grieve.
