This was made worse by trans medicalists, too, who refused to let the term go. I'm not a trans medicalist by any means, and I was upset that calling myself transsexual labeled me as one. Like what the fuck.

I'm 44, trans (never stopped calling myself transsexual, fwiw, even with my intersex condition). I remember when transsexual was under the "transgender umbrella" and specifically to people like me. Then people complained that it contained "sex" in the name and it wasn't as acceptable a term.

This past week I decided quilting and attempting to make clothes for my creepy doll, Zero, were not engaging the atrophied regions of my brain that long periods of not working have caused. So I tore my old laptop to pieces to figure out what was wrong with the keyboard.
