Kind of an apples to oranges situation, since SM64 DS is a remake for a then new handheld vs a Virtual Boy VC to emulate an entire console library with barely over 20 or so games.

In the case of the base 3DS there wasn’t enough buttons, the red viper emulator has to use the touch screen to simulate some of the system’s buttons

20 bucks for FRLG is crazy, but it at least beats paying for a genuine english copy second-hand

I’m already playing through both versions via emulation, i think doing a 3rd play-through simultaneously will drive me insane.

Still though, this made me realize that Pokemon Home is its own subscription separate from NSO. you’d think they’d at least include it with the expansion pass?

Surprisingly not too difficult, you don’t even need to own a PS3 to get the necessary files, Sony hosts the firmware files straight from their website and ripping discs is easy with a BD-R drive

OG DeS exists but that version of DeS is only on PS3.
Though less of an issue now with how optimized it is on RPCS3

Even though DeS 2020 and SotC 2018 are fumbles from an artistic standpoint, these games still ended up selling well and sony fumbled harder by forcing the studio that’s well known for remasting games make live service slop and dooming the company in the process.
They killed their golden goose.

I mean it’s a fine remake, but the new assets shoehorn a visual look that wasn’t in the original and doesn’t bring anything new to the table that compliments the original

The thing is that BP used to be famous for doing Enhanced Ports rather than full-on remakes.
SotC 2018 became the turning point.

It didn’t even have to be a remake, making the 60fps patch official and have the game running in 4k would’ve been enough to get people to double-dip

I had to dial down the 3D slider to get to play it, it’s pretty intense

This pretty much only ships in Flatpak, people have repackaged the application in the AUR and Nix but the devs only take bug reports from the Flatpak version

I mean, the gameplay of Detroit Become Human is essentially “what if a VN had a western AAA Budget” so there’s that. The game ended up being the best selling Quantic Dream game over there, and it even got a spinoff manga set in Tokyo.

Still think about how this game unironically became a cult classic in Japan since they never had a civil rights movement compared to the rest of the western world.
