What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?

Even though most shows are prerecorded, there is an anticipation that anything could happen watching broadcast TV. I was there for the Challenger disaster, the Max Headroom pirate broadcast, the OJ chase, and 9/11. It's hard to describe that feeling when you hear, "We interrupt this broadcast..."

I totally get this. There is an element to broadcast TV that feels like community, knowing folks were watching something at the same time. Like being in the cinema but in our homes. Asynchronous viewing makes it difficult to discuss shows over the water cooler because someone isn't caught up yet.

As long as I can remember, people have always told me that whatever is agreed to, get it in writing. We’re never going to see that health care vote. These folks don’t do what is written in the Constitution. Why would they follow through on a pinky promise? Mind boggling.
