my employer abandoned the trans community earlier this year to pre-appease the current administration. they've all but dismantled DE&I and i'm expecting at some point worse health insurance coverage for my GAC.

my partner and i are heading there next month and i have always felt that weight being lifted off as we take off, but i think it's going to be particular freeing this trip.

they won't stop with trans people.

What scares me is not just that now the UK becomes a place that as a trans person i probably can't visit safely, but this is exactly where the US is headed. It remains to be seen if Democrats will do the same as Labour in the UK but given all the democrats walking back trans support, it's likely.

i've gotten this question before. my answer was that they hadn't provided enough information about the "better opportunity" for making any decision as better is completely subjective. They came back with increased pay and i said i'm not interviewing for this role only because of the pay.

I'll add that the legal drinking age is 18 in Puerto Rico. So a twenty year old trans person can go drink themselves to death but can't legally get hormones.
