Who’s the publisher? I remember Now Comics doing some Married with Children comics that were honestly pretty good for what they were, especially when they did full-blown parodies of sci-fi properties and comic books.

Discotek is the GOAT for going above & beyond in presentation and preservation. Regardless of the quality of the show itself, they make sure you have the most complete collection possible.

Makes me wish they were into video game publishing and could give us a complete Rival Schools collection!

It’s absolutely beautiful and I will buy it day one. I bought the Street Fighter USA set (primarily for the commentaries, absolutely worth the price) and was impressed with the presentation and preservation but this blows me away with this. Discotek is so great for releases like this.

Everyone points to The Walking Dead and Fables as the best and while they’re fine (even if they overinflated the illusion of choice) my personal favorites are the Sam & Max trilogy. Closest they got to the magic for me.

How many classic point and click adventure games were you into back in the day and how do you feel the Telltale style of adventure games compare?

Don’t you know games are only allowed to be measured in terms of “masterpiece” or “garbage”, nothing else in between? We’ll occasionally permit “near masterpiece” or “total garbage”, but otherwise, nothing else!

Funny because there was a backlash against FF8 because of older Internet personalities, & I’m in the “hate it” camp for reasons both shared & personal. FF10 as a whole is fine although a lot of its parts garner derisions or laughs (A HA HA HA HA) & it perpetuated some bad habits of later entries.

As an old-school point & click adventure gamer, I was definitely around during Mystmania but I never once understood the appeal of the games. All puzzles but little to know characters (and you playing a blank slate avatar) was never my cup of tea.

I personally think it’s because the formula was perfected with 3 and after that, other than the Mega Buster in 4, nothing “game changing” was done with the series. I don’t think any are bad, just “more of the same”, but if that means rock-solid gameplay & design quality, I can live with that.
