There are a lot of (small) things I wish I knew when I was working on the paper (like remembering the access date and the version of each dataset). This tutorioal and other (more macro oriented) turorials would save time for many of us.

When I was preparing the reproduction package for AEJ: Macro recently, I ended up wasting too much time because (1) the tutorials available are not written for macro papers, and (2) it was my first time preparing rigorous reproduction package and I was not prepared.

Another useful info from @benmoll.bsky.social. I hope somebody writes replication guide for macro papers, which often combine various methodologies and codes. Many tutorials for reproducdibility (in particular the info on AER/AEJ website) are written with (reduced form) empirical work in mind.

Hello friends on Bluesky! My first post. I plan to post the same things on the two platforms for a while to see how different vibes are. I like no ads here! My first question is... what is the equivalent to #econtwitter? Is it #econsky, or #econbluesky? Any difference in terms of etiquette here?
