Our definition of capitalism now is typically neoliberalism, a technique to strong arm the global south into making their resources cheap and easy to access.

Unregulated capitalism is *technically* a 100% open economy without tariffs. Thats what ‘free trade’ is by definition.

In reality, all current western industrialized countries used protectionist policy (tariffs) to protect their baby industries.

Their dip in profit is much, much more heavily impacted by blanket tariffs up to 25% than a decrease in sales
