Quite possibly the most Guillermo del Toro movie ever made. lavish, vibrant, full of gore, loaded with equal parts compassion, humanity and tragedy. movie's two and a half hours long but it flew by, and you could tell GDT could have given it another hour or two. loved it

completely avoids the over exposition/convoluted lore problem that so many superhero movies fall victim to by going 'it's superman. you all know what his deal is' and just...getting into it and making a good movie. refreshing. fun. full of heart. really enjoyed it

enjoyed the nasty vampire but visually the movie was kinda dull. could have been a bit shorter too because i was finding myself less tense and more bored towards the end

it's frankly ludicrous that some website will stop displaying content if you lose internet connection. like why am i suddenly unable to read the text that's already loaded and stored in my browser's cache?? are sites these days streaming fucking text files??? absurd

very clever, very cute. threads all its various elements together in a fun way. oh to yearn/be yearned for across time and space with an intensity like that
