Also, just to make it a little less horrifying, I didn't propose this rule in an actual high-stakes context - it was mostly (but not completely...) a joke in a Slack channel at work. I am not a psychologist (...nor do I play one on TV).

Fair enough, but my hope is that it will at least inspire the dueling parties to seek a little common ground and be a forcing function to try to understand each others' perspective. (Hope; not expectation. On the other hand, I haven't heard a single LLM-provided "I-told-you-so" since the rule...)

In an entirely different context, I now have the "Rule of LLM Duels" - If you are using LLMs to settle an argument, the dueling parties must agree on the prompt. I haven't seen it play out, but I suspect it will result in the parties just arguing about the prompt rather than the matter at hand.

If you see this, quote skeet with a screenshot from a video game that released the year you were born.

The best part of the story is I wasn't even really planning to use that lens; I just wanted to have it handy "just in case".

The Nikkor 70-200 f/2.8 S? THAT lens got me back into photography after a 20+ year hiatus. I rented it and other gear from Glazer's, allegedly to save $ by doing my kid's senior portraits, then got hooked bad. I'm an amateur on a budget, so went with the Z50 kit, but that lens was the inspiration.

I was thinking Nikon, since that's the ecosystem I am most familiar with, but now I'm curious about both.

Do you have a current favorite or "go-to" gear setup?

Pretty sure I'm annoying half or more of the folks in my Extended Family Group Chat - my brother is in North Dakota, and I am sending real-time Aurora space weather probability updates. The less nerdy and more southerly-located members have informed me there is also some "Emmys" event or something.

I am a 54yo cishet Christian white guy from Texas, former gun owner, and yet somehow I still don't get why "It won't" is so obviously true. I figured harsh reality would have chipped away at least some of that cognitive dissonance LONG before now. And yet I, too, expect that yet again "It won't".
