I live and work in the beautiful Aberdeenshire countryside. I'm a small but full-time Beekeeper, producing a range of fine local honey and promoting best beekeeping practices

08.11.2025 10:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We are very much looking forward to seeing you at the Music Hall in Aberdeen later in the year
14.09.2025 11:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Absolutely, a big part of the problem now is that there are some absolute masters of this type of manipulation sitting in high office and others seeking high office. I fear that this has the potential to take us to places out of the living memories of most people
14.09.2025 11:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It's good to see the figures laid out in simple terms. Unfortunately, this doesn't align with the narrative or agenda of an ever increasing number of people getting caught up in the growing tsunami of discontent in this country, so they will simply ignore the facts
14.09.2025 11:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This is just a follow-up from my reply to your post yesterday. This is what the BBC is covering this morning despite the drones entering Polish air space last night
10.09.2025 08:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I can imagine how you can feel like most of the world feels indifferent to the daily suffering of Ukraine, particularly with the recent significant increase in the ferocity and frequency of attacks.
I can assure you that here in the UK, that is not the case. People really do care
I've liked your post out of respect for those killed and injured. A very dark week indeed
29.08.2025 13:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I see that the Russian ambassador has been summoned to attend the UK foreign office over the latest attacks.
My guess is that he will make some pathetic excuse about not deliberately targeting civilians and that military establishments were targeted.
Usual lies, and they expect us to believe it
I don't know how to send it to you, but it has been well covered here in the UK by the BBC. You are not forgotten in this country for sure
17.06.2025 17:17 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It was mentioned here in the UK. I'm not sure that was the exact figure, but it was certainly well into the four hundreds. It was further reported that it was the most of the war to date
09.06.2025 14:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I sincerely hope that lasting and genuine peace comes to your country and your people soon
11.05.2025 13:31 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm very lucky to see lots of different birds when I'm out and about beekeeping. I'm doubley lucky to have a large wooded area to the rear of my house, and at this time of the year, the dawn chorus is absolutely awesome. Great way to start the day
04.05.2025 21:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 025th April in Aberdeenshire, North East Scotland. It doesn't usually happen like this here this early. I've already had to do a load of splits for swarm control. Most years, I would expect to have done a couple by the end of April.

12.04.2025 22:46 β π 13076 π 3438 π¬ 75 π 170There is too much attention on Trump. What he is doing is certainly newsworthy, but he's being given way too much personal coverage, which just serves his ultra ego, at the expense of other important issues
09.04.2025 12:56 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I've not heard anything about this on mainstream news, only what's on social media.
If it's true, there are obviously questions to be asked.
Were they there officially?
If so, why?
And why was this not picked up by intelligence services?
Are they mercenaries?
Just a few that spring to mind
Every little bit helps, I just let my little garden go wild. It's amazing what you see there. It's my own little personal nature reserve
03.04.2025 08:20 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0That absolutely hits the nail in the head. A classic example was at the height of the British empire. While many people in positions of power lived in fantastic opulence and had unbelievable wealth, there was terrible poverty in significant proportions of the population both at home and the empire
02.04.2025 08:34 β π 10 π 3 π¬ 1 π 0Hope this helps
28.03.2025 12:38 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We did that without touching the forces in Germany. We also had around 10,000 in Northern Ireland, didn't touch them either. We simply couldn't mount such an operation again today
24.03.2025 18:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Being ex British forces I'm ashamed how this countries military has been run down. It was reported last week that our biggest deployment is 900 troops in the Baltic. Shameful, in the late 70s, early 80s there were 50,000 of us in Germany, we sent 26,000 to the Falklands at short notice
24.03.2025 18:15 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0We have the National Health service here in the UK. It comes under a lot of criticism, but in my experience, I only have praise for them. My son was born with a birth defect, which required 11 surgeries to correct, fantastic outcome. I simply wouldn't have been able to afford this, forever greatful
24.03.2025 09:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The country is so divided. So many can't see the writing on the wall and follow the regime blindly in that they can do no wrong. These people will defend it regardless. It's a hard one to call.
I sincerely hope that whatever happens happens peacefully
It's the proverbial 6 million dollar question.
Obviously, any such move is fraught with dangers.
Thank goodness I don't have to worry about traumatic issues like these. They just put my favourite, budget shampoo into a new harder to use bottle, half the size of the old one, and charge the same price for it
18.03.2025 14:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Joe Biden said it to the military on leaving office. Remember your oath to defend the country from all enemies, both foreign and domestic.
He knew exactly what was coming
It's a lovely thought, but I fear wishful thinking, unfortunately
18.03.2025 11:32 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Beautiful examples of a part of a beautiful culture. I particularly liked the fact that each region has its own embroidery style. Made me think of the Scottish clans, each having their own tartan
18.03.2025 08:49 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My point is that, particularly in the prison service, any convictions other than a minor driving offence, you weren't getting a start.
Why don't the same rules apply to candidates for what is likely to be the most powerful and responsible job in the world?
Just thinking, I have served in the British armed forces. I then served in the prison service for 30 years. Both of which required vetting for convictions and character before being accepted.
I'm sure that the same applies to the US armed forces, police, FBI, CIA, etc.
