Bilingual good news website in toki pona/English. I'm thinking it'll be in toki pona first, literally translated to English, then edited for grammar and making more sense. It's easier to be optimistic in toki pona.

I don't know. I think that translating slang to toki pona and then translating it back to English using the most common definitions and then using that to communicate my feelings is a bit helpful to my silly brain. I'm rambling a lot, huh?

Or maybe like, "jan Tana Tan (Donald Trump; toki pona has a limited alphabet) pi lawa ma Mewika li ike mute. taso, jan mute pi ma Mewika li pona." ("President Trump is very bad. However, many people in America are good")

("My feelings are this: at this time, the land of America is bad. In the future, the land of America will be a little bad or a little good. When my community works well, everything is good.") kind of works better for my brain. I don't know.

Something like, "nasin pilin mi e ni: tenpo ni li lon la, ma Mewika li ike. tenpo kama li lon la, ma Mewika li ike lili anu pona lili. kulupu mi li pali pona li lon la, ale li pona."

"ma Mewika li ike" is a direct translation of "America is cooked", but it can also mean "America is (bad|unnecessary|evil|harmful|a problem)", and breaking it down like that makes me think, well, I wouldn't necessary consider it any of those things.

I like toki pona because pretty much everything is up to interpretation.
