OpenAI lost $12 billion in three months. They're seeking $1.4 trillion in loan guarantees from the US government. Nvidia market cap is now 10% of US GDP. The AI bubble has grown so large that it's going to cause another major financial crisis when it implodes.

It's a small graphic design detail, but the loitering guy on TTC signage is actually in front of the red slash, casually leaning against it, making him look *unbelievably* cool.

It was so windy in the UK last week, that my provider gave us 3hrs electric for free. Turned everything on and got 10kwh for free.

Renewables will set you free.

Australia has so much solar that it's offering everyone free electricity Australia's extensive solar power penetration makes so much energy that the government wants to offer free electricity at peak hours.

Australia has so much electricity from solar power that it is going to start offering free electricity to everyone for at least three hours during the day as the wholesale price of power goes negative

Gutting the planning and sustainability depts and freezing the permitting dept - wtf.

Those jobs are the fulcrum for our development, innovation, and int’l reputation.

β€œBack to basics” just means going backward.

Even our more dysfunctional past councils didn’t try to pull this #%^.

The amazing folks at the WSDOT Active Transportation Division have released their 'quick build guide' - which includes at least a dozen quick-build projects as case studies across Washington State. This is great reading for sickos and local governments alike!

The affordability crisis is also a political crisis. If you're not willing to scapegoat a minority (immigrants currently) then the only other choice is to be antagonistic to the capitalist class that is actually causing the crisis. If the NDP is not willing to do this it has little reason to exist.

Frankly this just sounds like more of the same failed strategy. People are sick of politicians "hearing them" and repeating the things we already know are happening back at us. It's patronizing.

Mamdani won because he presented clear solutions to the problems, including redistribution of wealth.

NYC is going to have the world's biggest media-manufactured crime panic in history the second Mamdani is elected. They aren't even going to wait until he is inaugurated. Whether or not you like the guy, you need to start preparing now for the fire hose of disinformation that is about to activate.

It’s Easy to Hate Traffic Cameras. But They Do Save Lives. They raise issues of fairness, and critics claim they’re only about revenue. More speed and red-light cameras, however, would prevent a lot of deaths and injuries.

The data is clear: Intersection and speed cameras save lives, and more people die when they are removed: www.governing.com/transportati...
