Shanghai Metro recently put out two tenders for Line 16: 1) for 6 more 6 car Type A trainsets and 2) a separate tender to optimize its Urbalis888 CBTC system to improve express services and allow for coupling and uncoupling of 3+3 car sets at stations during revenue service.
