I picked this up today at a used book store on a whim because Le Guin rarely misses. 30 pages in and I’m really liking it! I’ve only read a few Sci-fi books from her, the fantasy setting is refreshing!

We had rubber mulch on top of landscape fabric. Probably some salt in there too from the sidewalk and driveway. It’s a miracle anything is growing in there at all.

We had a flower garden that the previous owners had landscaped with with rubber “mulch”. The ground was dead and nothing could grow where that stuff had been laid down.

We removed it all and a few years later things are finally starting to recover.

My excitement for the Superman movie had multiplied significantly since finding out they made Nathan Fillion play the Green Lantern and they gave him that haircut. There’s no way it’s a bad movie with all that going on.
