He was definitively full of beans!

Within a few minutes of being released Tom was on the ledge and a minute later he was diving after a Pigeon. Go Tom!

Tom's back! And it didn't take long before he was reunited with Azina and they visited the nest box 😊

Azina today. She's been perching on her usual spots of recently, i.e. the ledge, the 12th floor (last shot), the perches on the East side. She had a good afternoon meal and this morning she cast a mahoosive pellet.

He stayed there until Dave Morrison could take him to the South Essex Wildlife Hospital @sewh.bsky.social (fourth shot). Tom got there and has been seen by the vet. He is going to need at least two weeks rest for his wings to heal (nothing major, just time needed) I have just been told.

Apologies for the long silence. The youngsters left about three weeks ago. Yesterday people found Tom on the ground in the cemetery, unable to fly. He was put in a carrier (first shot, still wet) and I took it home (second and third shots).

I've noticed that Zag's cere has started to turn yellow, while Zig's is still grey, even though she's the oldest.

Today my day started with Zig and Zag on the crane and finished with Zig and Zag on the crane 😉
They're still around and doing well, though we don't see both of them every day on Peregrine Watch any more.
