The entrainment assumption is crucial in integral plume models. In 1997, we @cienciasulisboa.bsky.social showed link.springer.com/article/10.1... that a first-order turbulence closure is consistent with standard entrainment assumptions and plume growth rates in quiescent and co-flowing environments.
