I don't think that 33s on Brighton will last long. Spurs & Leeds now very close! Hopefully West Ham lose a few and the whole thing stops being exciting!

If we get 5 from those 3 games we'll be legit challenging top half. Not sure we want a Europe place quite yet though - Forest is a cautionary tale for recently promoted sides. Like your optimism though - I hope the players have a similar mindset.

We're going to lose our best players unfortuneately. The trick is to proactively have suitable replacements already lined up (a la Brighton etc) rather than waiting to react.

We were short one Harry Wilson type hole, now filled. We didn’t know we’d need a 9 in the summer but playing 2 upfront has changed that. So we’ve really only known the need since half time in the City game - hence JSL attempt. Still think that we’d be in for Piroe if we didn’t already own him!

Trouble is, we wouldn’t be happy if they signed someone bang average and the decent ones are hard to get. We really don’t want a signing that, come the summer, we wish we hadn’t bothered, so I’ve no problem with the club trying and failing - don’t agree that it’s a bad look. Can’t win really
