Depends a lot on the PSR changes mooted I think for the season after next. Hopefully stopping incentivising clubs to sell academy players will be one outcome, but somehow I doubt it!

If we want to land a proper difference maker, we have to leave it late. Imagine if we land an amazing loan in the last few hours of the window - that could be the difference between staying up or not ... so the recruitment team have to take the risk and leave it late. It is a risk though

ie Agents only get paid once their player has played a certain number of games - may make them less likely to pitch their youngster to Chelsea!

As clubs play U21s, U18, etc agreeing the right number of under contract players may prove to be impossible. Personally I think putting more controls on Agents is a good place to start - in my view they're primarily responsible for the lack of integrity in the game!

We're in a weak position to get anyone decent and will have to wait until the end of the window to see who's left. I don't understand why anyone thinks we can force a player to sign, especially if they rate themselves and think they can land a mid table PL club. A decent loan or 2 on Monday?

Not sure how much control the authorities should/could have on the number of players on the books not in the EPL 25. In the end the Clubs have to take some blame for offering the contracts, but the Players and Agents can always choose not to join a club where they're unlikely to play. Money talks!

They've got rid of 20+ players this window, brought in under 10 and net + spend isn't massive. PSR position great due to amortisation. They can also use players not in the EPL squad of 25 in Europe? If #LUFC were in a position to do the same I suspect we would.

Are there possible issues with the 25 player EPL squad? Ie who’ll get left out / loaned out if they do sign a 10 and another 9? And who are the 8 home grown?
