Poster illustrating dialogue between Scotland and the UK state, revealing that in this 'partnership of equals', the UK won't allow Scotland to vote o independence.
“Equal partners” Theresa May, Tories
A ‘more equal union than anywhere in the world” BetterTogether
A “Union of equals and partnership” Johan Lamont, Labour.
If England decided it wanted to vote on becoming independent, do you think it would have to ask Scotland’s permission first?

So, when US citizens start arriving on our shores trying to claim asylum, how will our politicians react, do you think?
Will the reaction depend on the skin tone of the asylum seekers, or their sexual orientation or gender expression?
Hmm...

So many good people from down south and they just do not see how poor their political system is or that the UK is a forced union. Actually they don’t care. Easier that way.
Any country can vote to leave the EU but only English politicians get to decide who can vote to leave their union.

Front cover of a new book on British spiders by Richard Lewington. It has an illustration of a Wasp Spider. Published by Bloomsbury.
Meta menardi in a cave. A glossy dark brown spider. It is resting on white spherical egg sac hanging from the ceiling.
Metallina merianae, in a culvert. This is the more unusual var. celata, with a broad cream stripe down the dark brown abdomen.
New spider book!🕷
@rlewington2.bsky.social has produced this beautiful guide to some of our UK species.
A while ago I provided 'models' of cave-dwelling sps. V. happy to get a copy of the finished book as thanks😊

Peter Merrett delivering a talk on the history of the BAS - Photo: Richard Gallon.
It's with great sadness that we report the death of legendary British arachnologist, colleague and friend, Peter Merrett. A former BAS president, Peter edited the Bulletin (now Arachnology) for a remarkable 37 years. He published widely and was the ultimate judge of all our ID difficulties.

A dark bodied harvestman with long black legs on a brick wall. This one is a male.
A long legged harvestman on a red brick wall. This one is a female, her oval shaped abdomen is dark pinky-brown with a black area in front of the eyes, a dark square patch towards the rear of the abdomen and some pale markings along the sides. She has long dark legs.
A group of 8 harvestmen clustered loosely together on a red brick wall. They have very long dark legs and dark bodies, slightly blurred as they were bouncing up and down as they were photographed.

[source: @msm_monitor] We've checked the RCN survey and can confirm BBC Scotland misled the public.
The only reference to patients dying in corridors was in the English NHS sample. The only reference to a miscarriage in a side room was in Yorkshire. /->
