ICE kidnapped a neighbor in Phillips today along with others in MN. They are still the same rogue, abhorrent, & illegitimate organization meant to terrorize & separate families.

As I said yesterday, I am still asking the community to remain cautious & vigilant. We still need help.

Pleading with people to understand the scope of this.

It won’t just be for immigrants.

They will use these camps to detain anyone they deem as an “other”.

The shutdown is well deserved, but ICE should not be paid

The only thing I can think of to counteract this is for white citizens to show up even harder. People not at risk of deportation should spring these traps by...being good neighbors. Honestly, I swear neighborism is going to be their kryptonite!

You and I both know that the kind of person who becomes an ICE agent has a high probability of also being a rapist. It's part of the attraction. But on Maslow's hierarchy of needs, "enough food to live" trumps "bodily autonomy", is my guess.

I have been struck by the fact that we aren't hearing a lot of rape allegations from the concentration camps. I fear that the biggest reason is that the _other_ harms being done to detainees is so great that they are only reporting the very worst, when they get the opportunity at all.

I think the actual answer is some combination of factors, and maybe that is one. But the link between chronic pain and drug use seems pretty clear to me, as is the fact that a lot of chronically ill people have died since 2020.
