The new City on Fire subs suck. Hong Kong Cantonese is as vernacular as it gets and translators are still so adverse to slang, expressions, and humour. They're tonally inconsistent and technically off as well. So many lines are too fast or cut off too early just to match a cut.

what’s absolutely bonkers about John Sayles is he has three movies minimum in his filmography you could argue as The Great American Film: City of Hope, Matewan, Lone Star.

“The shot” is obviously immediately one of those all time movie moments that is going to go in montages till the end of time, but there’s a music moment later that made me involuntarily yelp with joy.
