Because yeah their strat is to make you lose hope and to preemptively give up. Don’t give them that satisfaction. And if that means you have to shut out what you hear about them for a while, then do what you have to do.

I don’t want to say “Unplugging yourself from world news is beneficial to your mental health”. Because turning a blind eye to world events IS irresponsible. But I do think limiting the amount you hear about the actions of evil people does help focus your mind and not give in to despair.

From my experience the pay looks about the same as Non-U video game voice over work. I don't think I've even done a session longer than 2 hours. The idea that that your average voice actor is a millionaire is obviously laughable.

I really hate these constant fluctuating emotions. One day I'm hopeless and scared. Then the next day I see a video or story that gives me hope, then the very next day that hope gets squashed. And so on and so forth. And I get it. Making it feel as though we lost is the goal. But I'm just so tired.
