Drowning Doesn’t Look Like Drowning Drowning is not the violent, splashing call for help that most people expect.

Thanks for the reminder @janemunday.bsky.social. Every summer, I repost this article DROWNING DOES NOT LOOK LIKE DROWNING. To date, I know of FOUR kids who were saved after someone who'd clicked on the link learnt how to spot actual drowning. Take time to read and pass on.

Every journey is different but I haven’t found this to be much of a problem at all in zone 1/2. Obviously it’s poor outside the centre. I commute in to Waterloo, and you’re not allowed to park Lime bikes within a few hundred metres of the station now anyway and the price difference is massive.

It does! Santander cycles- the bikes formerly known as Boris bikes. Β£120 a year for unlimited rides. Reduces to Β£60 via cycle to work scheme. An extra Β£1.65 per ride if you choose an electric one. And their electric bikes are a much nicer to ride than Lime or Human Forest or the other clunkers.

Alright #fNIRS folks - I need your help. Is there a genuinely robust functional activation paradigm that yields canonical HRFs in the adult prefrontal cortex (specifically frontal pole)? Arithmetic? Stroop? N-back? What's the go-to option?

Interesting article from Kinder et al. Somewhat depressingly predictable that the stats on reporting of HbO vs HbO AND HbR have hardly changed since 2015. Gotta do better in 2023 people. #fNIRS...
