You probably donβt remember me from last year, but I finally was sent back the copy of Absolute Batman 1 graded from that chaos in Midtown Comics last year. Thanks, @ssnyder1835.bsky.social & @nickdragotta.bsky.social !! I can handle conventions, but NYC Midtown lines are something else for me.

Oh, youβre handling it better than my LCS. Theyβve been used to βone website to distribute them all.β (Lord of the Rings joke) Theyβre not a fan of change. Theyβre waiting for distributors to make manageable because itβs harder for them since they have to assure distribution and have a master list.

How do meritocracy and diversity shape who leads in Americaβand what happens when those values collide? In his latest essay, Andrew Porwancher explores the enduring tension between rewarding individual talent and ensuring our leaders reflect the nationβs diversity. Through the lens of Theodore Rooseveltβs career, Porwancher reveals how this debate is as old as it is urgent, and why it remains at the heart of our national conversation today.

Talk about underpaid! Teachers today have to resort to leashes with elementary school kids for liability reasons(not losing them; taking them all from one place to another). Each generation theyβre making it harder for public school teachers. Donβt blame them one bit for the leashes.
