For example, for young people, social media has presented new avenues for obtaining unregulated toxic drugs. While peer pressure is nothing new, the amplification through social media presents unique challenges — but also presents opportunities for dismantling stigma and opening important avenues for education and public awareness. As the number one cause of death for people in their youth to their middle age, this crisis touches us all.
