The Southern Reach series is 100% one where I didn't love it while I was reading it, but so much of the imagery has stuck with me years later. Been thinking about rereading them since its been so long (and I haven't gotten around to the 4th yet)

Microsoft never should have been allowed to acquire Bethesda and Activision-Blizzard-King, it should have been blocked for the clear monopoly making move it was, and anyone with pattern recognition could've seen this coming, because voraciously acquisition always comes with mass layoffs.

Nobody is expecting you to pay for EVERY website, that's not practical. But thinking of these sites as magazines is maybe a better way of framing it than "oh great now i gotta pay for websites", with the added bonus all the money goes to us and not a publisher.

Please support worker-owned media. Doesn't have to be us, just...someone. Anyone. We started aftermath because we felt it was the only way to make this work going forward, as did everyone else at all these sites, and the more people paying for our/their work, the bigger and better we'll get.
