Yup. And unlike most other countries, the US doesn't give credit for taxes paid to the country you live in. So you have to pay taxes twice.

I'll tell you it's really, really expensive. Like you need AT LEAST 1 million in liquid assests. Unless you have an in demand job the other country is looking for, or you marry a citizen of that country.

And even after you spend all the money to get out, the US still takes you to town w/ taxes.

I have read/listened to more books in the last two weeks than I probably did the 6months prior. Dungeon Crawler Carl is really good!! And honestly kinda uplifting in a weird way for me. But one of the main characters is a cat and she's AMAZING!

Yes it is so frustrating! My child is SO much more than his disabilities. They're a part of him of course, but his intelligence and quick wit shines through in all he does. He'll be an excellent electrical engineer or trauma surgeon someday!

Yeah I haven't seen any that aren't a very expensive path to citizenship. Compounding the issues with my child, my spouse is also an unskilled laborer. I think I'd have to go first with the kiddo, but it doesn't seem feasible.

Dunno where you live or if you're open to it but medical cannabis is a life saver!

I have the same problem. My child has a few disabilities but he is also incredibly bright and will change the world when he is older. But because of his dx's we are unable to immigrate to places like New Zealand that want my in-demand profession (Bachelors in Nursing)
