A great game of Quartermaster General WW2 last night, at Cawston Gaming Club. The Allies stormed ahead and almost won with a 30 VP lead but the Axis powers fought back hard to win, 237 v 224.

A great afternoon with friends playing Azul and Ramen Fury.

My board game stats for January. This is reflective of my objective to play as many of the unplayed games in my collection as possible this year. Although there are a few games there that I don’t own. A great month for new gaming experiences.

I received a good quality backgammon set last year, as a birthday present. Not played it in years. Been good getting back into it and introducing family to this classic.

First game of Botany by Dux Somnium this evening. Played vs the AI Solo Player and won. Could have gone the other way if I had accidentally achieved the 12 Reputation Points and finished the game before getting the latest acquisitions back to the Estate. Love the game artwork.

Introduced to “Dune: Imperium” last night. Enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Finished the game wanting more.

At my local gaming club last week I played a couple of Magic the Gathering (Commander format) games. Somehow I managed to win both against two much more experienced players. The second game was very close, with just one life point left. #mtg

A friend and I are working through @gmtgames.bsky.social’s Command & Colors: Napoleonics base game scenarios in a form of campaign mode. This is the 5th scenario. Great fun. #wargaming

I have driven a Tesla Model 3 for nearly 3 years now and it is also the best car I’ve had. The Elon connection is the only negative.

Barcelona. Familia Sagrada. I was blown away when I walked in. Breath taken away. One of the most, if not the most, beautiful building I’ve ever been in.

Tonight a friend and I played GMT’s Commander & Colors Napoleonics, Scenario 4 “Corruna - 16 January 1809”. We have been playing the same sides in a sort of campaign mode. In this game history did not repeat with the British losing 6 - 2 VP. Campaign score F 4 - 0 B/P #wargaming

Played 3 games so far. Two 2-player and one 4-player game, all adults. It doesn’t take long to explain the rules to new players and get started, which in my gaming circles is a big plus. Agree with indicated age+ and play duration on the box.

A couple of boardgames played this afternoon including this one, #Rebirth.

Aiming to at least get this game of Raid on St. Nazaire started this weekend. A solo wargame from #AvalonHill, published in 1987. It’s been a while since I last played it. #wargaming
