Every other time those guards have been actively sent there to find and kill him. Even if he kills them before he's seen, it's still out of necessity for survival.

It also always bugs me when people call characters like Nathan Drake a "mass murderer". It's not murder if it's self defense. The studios you're referencing with those games have several large teams working at the same time.

Santa Monica has one or two teams, and they're smaller than those.

Lots of people love side scrollers. Side scrollers are many people's favorite type of game. There is zero reason for you to be treating it as if it's somehow some lower tier kind of game.

None of these games you've listed have anything to do with God of War, and games these days take 5 years or so to make. Including most of the games you've mentioned.

I won't be preordering because I'm still bitter about what Konami did to Kojima on 5 but I'll buy it physical eventually, either on sale or used. 3 and 4 are my favorite in the series so that collection is perfect for me.

Even something like an option to export the project file in a format you could download could get homebrew developers working on a way to translate that to blender or unreal or something.

Do they do it from the same team or is it split up like COD? If it's the same team I could still see it as possible but it would definitely be a more incremental iteration type of thing. Like a v2, v3 of the same game with changes to the content and graphics.

I was wondering, do you have a game of the year award, like the best physical release of the year? An award for the physical release that is least in need of an online service for patches or DLC etc.

Maybe separated between AAA and non-AAA, since obviously a lot more can easily go wrong with AAA.

There are not a lot of great options unfortunately, and some people don't really have the freedom to make that choice if they want to have a career. The whole situation just sucks right now.

69 is a D. It's a bad score and usually seen as disappointing, but it's usually not an actual fail unless it's some kind of special class or something, like honors or like, classes for certification of specific skills needed for important jobs etc.

7/10 almost always means average in every review context.

Think of it this way: if a game is only doing half of the things it should be doing, how is that average? On average, things should be GOOD. 7/10 is an average score but average doesn't mean meh. On average things tend to be good.

The Superman (2025) script is now available online. For those of you who are interested in screen writing: The best advice I ever got was to look up scripts to movies I liked and read them. Trust me, it helps.
