I finished assembling the OVP board and it fits in the calculator!
The board tests good. Now I need to tap into and intercept all 5 voltage rails. I'll report back tomorrow and hopefully power it up.

It's a struggle. Covid introduced me to alcohol in a bad way. I feel like I was more outgoing before COVID and it's hard to get it back. I wish you luck friend.

It's expensive but worth it if you do assembly semi often. I do not miss dealing with tweezers.

I'm working on a mod board for an old (HP 9815a) calculator. It will protect the electronics in case of a power supply failure. The board just arrived and the test fit worked. I've got the pixel pump all ready to go. Lets build a board!

Got a new clock today! It's a digital clock from 1977 made by HP. There's a lot going on inside. Now I've got to figure out where to put it.

caption: Subminiature AC Power Plug. it's a 1/8" audio plug. The outer shell is marked Ground (Earth). The middle ring contact is Neutral, and the central pin is Hot.

A euro-style switched outlet panel but in the middle is a small hole for an audio-style 1/8" jack.

The calculator now works! Most of it's problems were due to rust and old rubber parts swelling up. With some oil and tons of patience it is now working!
