So I never did get an answer. The person just kept pausing for several minutes as if they were doing research and then reappearing to throw random (incredibly basic!) facts at me that did not at all address my question. It was the most bizarre and frustrating exchange.

If you don't UNDERSTAND that this is a possible consequence of filming light vandalism in the context of antifascist protest, you are still just as much a danger to movement.

If you are willing get another protester put on a terrorist database and possibly sent to jail over some light vandalism (and I'm sorry, but setting trash on fire is absolutely light vandalism, no one's torching houses here), you are a danger to movement.

It really feels like any time there is new, alarming information (whether about protesting, COVID, etc) there’s a certain group yelling at everyone to stop talking about it because they believe it stops action.

Everything I’ve learned about opsec is more information in my toolkit, not a deterrent.

The overflow room at the Surprise City Council meeting has also filled up (it has a 500 person capacity). I can’t tell how many are still outside but we can hear them chanting “ICE out” in here so it seems like quite a lot.
