#Hobbystreak day 33. Started painting the rest of my primed Jade Lancers from months ago. For the time being I am just going to focus on the horses and do the riders after.

#Hobbystreak day 32. I am really pleased with how Belial looks now that I am done with him. My goal for this year is to play more 30k so hopefully he will see the table soon as a stand-in Praetor.

#Hobbystreak day 31. Lots of good painting work done today. I am really pleased with how Belial is turning out compared to my attempt a couple months ago that looked like an angry santa.

#Hobbystreak day 30. I didn't have time to paint today because it was my turn to host D&D but I did have time to build this Malineth mini and put her on a proper base since I finished making my character way ahead of everyone else.

#Hobbystreak day 29. Before I take another dive into Cathay army painting I want to return to this Belial model that I paint stripped and shelved because I was really unhappy with the original results. Attempt 2 I think I got it this time.

#Hobbystreak day 28. All my clan forces for Aces are complete. I think now that all of them are done the paint scheme was largely a success.

#Hobbystreak day 27. Really solid progress today on these mechs. The base coats are done and since my mech painting is pretty simple I am hoping I can finish them tomorrow.

#Hobbystreak day 26. 2nd batch of Aces mechs are up on the desk. I kind of want to power through these because playing aces has become a popular way of introducing new people to the game since it came out.

#Hobbystreak day 25. I finished my first batch of Aces forces. I'm still a bit on the fence about the two tone grey but I am committed now.

#Hobbystreak day 24. Cavaliers campaign Sunday and it was brutal. Our formation was ambushed by head hunters on the way to our next mission. We mostly escaped but it cost us the capture of our crusader and one of our battle armor teams.

#Hobbystreak day 23. Chill Saturday I had a friend over to the house and we played a couple of small 500 point games of Warhammer Old world

#Hobbystreak day 22. I decided it's finally time to get around to painting my clan forces for Aces. I was kind of hoping the light grey would come out darker but it's more off white. Not sure if I want to keep it or go with another color.

#Hobbystreak day 21. Terrain painting is kind of a nice change because I can just go nuts with dry brushing and contrast. I think I got a really nice result for a one day paint.

#Hobbystreak day 20. Got out and primed the tower and then got the first dry brush layer down. I had a bit of a chuckle when I realized it was nearly the same color as the unpainted plastic.

#Hobbystreak day 19. I'm hosting an old world game on Saturday and need a tower so I dropped into my LGS during lunch to pick up some terrain and then got it built after work.

#Hobbystreak day 18. I was in a really good groove today and painted my Palatine sister to completion. Really pleased overall with how she turned out. I missed working on this army more than I thought. Maybe 11th ed will bring back the spark or I talk my friends into playing 5th

#Hobbystreak day 17. Battletech Sunday Canopian Highlanders vs Word of Blake 12k BV civil war era. I felt a bit bad about this one because the guy I played with had very mismatched expectations and I ended up seal clubbing him.

#Hobbystreak day 16. I have been wanting to return to my sisters army for a while but haven't had the motivation since 10E has been such dog water. I decided today I am going to paint a Palatine just for the fun of it.

#Hobbystreak day 15. And these Allarus are done. Fun fact Allarus terminators were also the very first custodes I painted when I started the army. Now I have a full size squad, vexilla, and a shield captain.

#Hobbystreak day 14. I was hoping to finish painting today but didn't quite get there. Still having the weapon blades and the last of the gold detailing done feels like a solid accomplishment.

#Hobbystreak day 13. I got a visit from the insomnia fairy last night so I have been a zombie for most of the day. Since I don't trust my dexterity when tired I just spent my hobby time getting the bases started for these terminators.

#Hobbystreak day 12. Work continues on my Allarus terminators. I am pretty pleased with progress today and I am thinking in another couple of days of painting I should be able to wrap them up.

#Hobbystreak day 11. Custodes painting resumes. I shaded the gold along with a bunch of the other smaller details.

#Hobbystreak day 10. The Royalston Cavaliers return with a new contract. A mining strike turned into a planetary insurrection which the Cavaliers have been called into break. At first the inclusion of Arrow IV felt like overkill until we found the miners had joined with pirates

#Hobbystreak day 9. My favorite part of this scheme is the gold. The shading later will add some depth and detail but I do love how vivid it is when I first apply it like this.

#Hobbystreak day 8. It was a running around kind of day so I got less painting accomplished than I would have liked but progress is progress.

#Hobbystreak day 7. I primed and got a start on painting these Allarus terminators. It looks like it's going to be a rainy weekend so I am hoping I'll be able to knock these out fairly quickly.

#Hobbystreak day 6. I'm not sure if it's because of or in spite of "the discourse" but I just wanted to work on some units for my Custodes army. So I picked up a unit of terminators from my LGS to fill out my Allarus units.

#Hobbystreak day 5. The Cavaliers new equipment is ready for the field and not a moment too soon. Our first deployment of 2026 happens this Sunday.
