Flipside though, it's 350 more square feet (about 30 more square meters) and a second bedroom, so we have more options than just the living room for where things can go, and we should be able to get a table for gaming set up once again.

Indeed, and then the neck injury on top of all of that adds another level of "fun". I do wish we had three months for the whole process instead of two though, but that's how things go sometimes.

Thankfully movers are doing the actual moving, but packing and unpacking is all mine to handle.

Paint not being available locally means I have to be a lot more careful about purchases, because if you wind up running out in the middle of a project, it can be a while before you have that colour replaced.

Those ones have their pigment codes listed, and they only use one pigment (PR122 for Magenta, for example).

I haven't tried Instar's yet as I'm generally not a fan of waiting weeks for packages of paint to come in, plus weather makes it a four month window where it's safe to have paint shipped.

This next month is going to suck, but I'll survive. Just... Really don't want to pack up what's been home for 15+ years. Not the best of places, but it's been ~MY~ place for that time, and it's cozy.

On the flipside though, the new place does have more space. Just, yeah, that packing thing.

Did up the TMM gold, which was super fun. I think I just have to figure out the wood grain on the shield, and then this guy's just waiting for me to get to the basing

Oooh, Instar's doing single pigments now?

I use the triangle shaped blade thingy DSPIAE made a while back to get into a lot of those smaller nooks and crannies. For larger spaces, either a hobby knife or some assortment of sanding sticks.

I've wanted more accurate colour photographs of where Taurus is at, so out came the G85. Painting this time was mainly focused on his armour. I'm working on coaxing it towards some sort of rusty orange-red.

Intriguing. That's different than the usual mix of Space Marines and Trench Crusade I've typically seen on there.

Intriguing. Various places suggest the use of hot press 300gsm watercolour paper for acrylic, so I might see how the paints apply to the block of Fluid 100 I have.

Glad to hear! It isn't a perfect chart, as the paper likes to strip water out of your brush super quick, but this is kind of why I've been doing swatches of my various paints - a nice quick reference chart to go by

Hastily painted swatches of various AK Interactive 3rd generation paints that I own. Well, minus those three Fluoros, which I keep forgetting to grab every time I do swatches...

Managed to get in two sessions on Taurus today, and things feel like they're coming together on his armour, so I'm quite happy there. Will post pics tomorrow because oh boy am I tired, so here's some swatches of the AK paint I picked up (shop will be giving me a replacement Chocolate as it's DOA)
