Is the simulator genre exhausted at this point? Assumedly there's endless opportunities.

Garbage Truck simulator? Probably would rip.

Clock Maker simulator? Great puzzle game.

12th century executioner simulator? I'd give it a shot.

Where does the genre 'jump the shark'?

I think one of the most accessible parts of being an indie dev is that all the backend engine and logic is already out there.

Someone is selling a framework or pre-built system that saves you weeks of work.

Then learn to dissect, understand, and innovate off what was already built.

Ive been working on an AI NPC system for Unreal Engine.

Uses Piper for TTS and Lama 1B as a local LLM.

Pretty damn good for real time processing.

Makes my 4070 purr like a panther but I’m amped nonetheless.
